District Officers 2008-2010

Rosemary Judd-Archer,
District Officer
The District Officer is a half-time position at District 29 Office. The District Officer provides advice to the Executive and District Council and is responsible for Grievances, Long Term Disability, Leaves, Pensions and Benefits.
Jennifer Davis, Human Rights & Status of Women
The Human Rights/Status of Women Officer is responsible for ensuring that the local Executive and Council are aware of issues related to Human Rights and Status of Women and that the District and its workplaces are compliant with the mandates of our Provincial Human Rights/Status of Women Committees.
Doug Middleton, Health & Safety
Our Health & Safety Officer sits on the Joint Health & Safety Committee and reports regularly to the Executive and Council on matters affecting the safety and well-being of our members.
Rita deMelo
Pensions & Benefits

The Pensions & Benefits Officer chairs the meetings of the Pensions & Benefits Committee, a sub-committee of the CBC. The Pensions & Benefits Officer also arranges regular OTPP and OSSTF pension workshops for District members.
Tammy Groleau
Educational Services

The Educational Services Officer is responsible for ensuring that the local Executive and Council are aware of issues related to Educational Services and that the District and its workplaces are compliant with the mandates of our Educational Services Committees.
   

 



 

Our District Officers

 

  • The District Officers are appointed by majority vote of the District Executive, subject to the approval of District Council;
  • These positions are advertised to the membership;
  • The term of office is two years;
  • Re-appointment is possible;
  • District Officers are non-voting members of Council.
