May 2011 AGM Educational Services Committee Report: The Ed Services committee met seven times this year. Our meeting time has been divided between housekeeping (TEP and JSD fund management), and planning for the 2012 Kevin Manion Lecture Series. TEP and JSD funds have remained healthy this year with many members receiving full benefits district-wide. We are slowly "smoothing" the wave of TEP requests that occurred five years ago when an unusually high number of first time applicants accessed the funds. The working topic of the KML is Geo-Political issues. We are making arrangements presently to host Diana Juricevic, a lawyer who has worked on human rights issues for the UN at the Hague, and across Canada, and is currently posted as a lecturer at the U of T school of law. Diana is also a graduate of Centennial Secondary School. Her father, Ivan Juricevic, is retired teacher and a life member
of District 29.
